Treatment Services - Bleaching
Bleaching Services.
Dr. Schwartz provides three types of bleaching service programs . Your bleaching protocol will be determined by an assessment of your individual wants and needs, and also what protocol will give you the best possible bleaching result you wish to achieve.
At Home Bleaching:
At Home Bleaching is the most popular bleaching choice available today. Dr. Schwartz likes this treatment modality, because it gives you as a patient the freedom to bleach as often as you want. Dr. Schwartz likes to think of the At Home Bleaching modality as a Cosmetic. For example, if you are going to a dinner paryty, or are going for that all important job interview you can give your teeth that extra sparkle simply by wearing the bleaching tray while you put on your makeup, and or while you are getting dressed. to Keep his teeth their whitest, Dr. Schwartz bleaches one day per month for two hours. Two hours per month will maintain the bleached dentition from daily coffee stains, red stains, etc.

In-Office
Power Bleaching:
If you want to get your teeth their whitest Dr. Schwartz recommends the power bleaching process in the office. I t takes about an hour per treatment session, and in three to four appointments you will have a very white smile.
Frequently Asked
questions About Power Bleaching:
Some commonly asked questions about the power bleaching
process are..
1. Does it Hurt?
If done properly, power bleaching will not cause post treatment pain.
2. Does it harm your teeth?
Studies have shown and are available upon request that both in office and at home bleaching will not permanently damage your teeth or gums. In fact, current studies show that the active ingredient in home bleaching reduces swelling of gums caused by gingivitis.
3. Do you have to quit drinking coffee, tea, and red wine?
Dr. Schwartz tells his patient’s to “live your life”. Don’t compromise your enjoyment of life’s little pleasures. For this reason we recommend that you have an At Home Bleaching Tray to maintain your investment after bleaching in the office.
4. How long does it last?
Certainly, someone who drinks 5 cups of coffee per day can expect their result to last not as long as someone who drinks one cup per day. But in general, it will last a long time provided it is maintained. Essentially, when you bleach you are getting a new youthful look to the color of your teeth, but just as stated before, your teeth are still vulnerable to your daily habits.. An that requires maintainence. If you have no vices than your new white teeth will last for years.
